How do I find out if my provider is in the network?
Search for participating providers in the app or online. You can also recommend a provider through the app, online or by calling Member Support. Submit the provider’s information, and the provider will be contacted about joining the network.
Can I go to an out-of-network provider and receive a discount?
No. This benefit only applies to procedures performed by an in-network provider.
Can my family use this benefit?
All immediate family, including spouse and legal dependents, can use this benefit.
Is there a co-pay or deductible?
No, this is not insurance. You must pay the discounted total at the time of service.
Can I use this benefit in conjunction with health insurance? If so, how does this work?
Your discount benefit does not work with traditional co-pay insurance, unless the procedure isn’t covered by that insurance. However, you may use the discount benefit to reduce out-of-pocket expenses on indemnity type insurance plans.
What if my provider needs a fee schedule?
Providers can call 800.320.1359. They may also find fee schedules online at https://www.galaxyhealth.net/repricer.php.
What if I have a planned hospital visit?
For planned hospital visits, call Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Time to receive a referral number. If you fail to call for a referral number, you will not be eligible for a discount. You must pay for all billed services in full.
What about Emergency Room visits?
For emergency room visits, call within 48 hours of release for Galaxy to negotiate discounts.
What if I have an emergency and do not have time to pre-register with a participating hospital?
In the event of an emergency call 911. Contact Galaxy Health Network within 48 hours of being admitted to the hospital and provide all information associated with your visit. Galaxy Health Network will make every effort to negotiate a discount, but there is no guarantee. If a discount is successfully negotiated, the hospital will issue you a refund check for the difference.
How many times per year can I use this benefit?
You can use this benefit as often as needed.
