Therapy

Dermatology

• A quick, convenient and discreet solution for treating skin conditions such as rash, acne, psoriasis, suspicious moles, and more
• Upload images of your skin issue and receive a response within two days from a licensed dermatologist through Teladoc’s online message center
• Prescriptions are sent to your local pharmacy, when medically necessary
• $75 consult fee, plus one follow-up question

How does Teladoc Mental Health work?
To schedule a session, access your account through the mobile app or web portal. Next, you’ll request a visit, answer a few questions, select a therapist, and request an appointment time. Appointments are confirmed within 72 hours.

When is online therapy available?
Teladoc schedules therapy appointments seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time. Appointments are confirmed within 72 hours.

How much does a therapy visit cost?
If you’d like to visit with a psychiatrist, the initial visit is $200 per session and ongoing visits are $95 per session. Visits with psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, counselors, or therapists are $85 per session.

How does adolescent therapy work?
From the parent/guardian account, choose a therapist who your teen would like to meet. Select a day and time that works for you and your teen. For each Mental Health specialist their teen works with, a parent/guardian must be present at the start and conclusion of the initial visit. Parent/guardian attendance is not required for subsequent visits. Psychiatry consultations are not available for teens 13-17.

Who is eligible to use the therapy service?
The program is available to adolescents ages 13-17, and adults 18 and older. Psychiatry consultations are only available to adults 18 and older.

How does Teladoc Dermatology work?
To schedule a session, access your account through the mobile app or web portal. Next, you’ll request a consult, upload pictures of your skin condition, and choose a pharmacy. Results will be available to view online within two business days.

How much does a dermatology consult cost?
Each consult costs $75, which includes one follow-up question.

Can you schedule an appointment with a dermatologist?
No, this service simply allows you to upload images for a consultation. You can communicate with dermatologists through the online message center. Each consult includes one follow-up question.

Mental Health visits are not available 24/7/365 and must be scheduled. Mental Health visits are not available to minors 12 and younger. Mental Health visits with a psychiatrist are not currently available for adolescents ages 13-17. Not all Mental Health specialists will be available in all states.  For dermatology consultations, members must complete a Dermatology Intake Form and upload a minimum of three images through the secure message center before each initial consultation.
