Compliance

Since the first law governing discount medical cards was enacted in Florida in March 2004, New Benefits has led the way by building a compliance department second to none. We ensure strict adherence to state laws and rules affecting our industry, and help clients navigate regulations, documentation, and forms required to market discount medical products and services.

Our Compliance Team provides the most comprehensive materials available for our marketers and distributes an eCompliance newsletter to announce updates. We maintain a Regulatory and Legislative website designed to keep our clients informed of all current laws relevant to our industry. This website provides statutory highlights, as well as links to the official state websites, actual statutes and downloadable versions of all necessary forms.

Consumer Health Alliance

New Benefits is a founding board member of the Consumer Health Alliance (CHA), the national trade association of the discount healthcare industry, developed to bring awareness and a voice to the national healthcare arena. This organization focuses on recognizing and promoting fair and ethical business practices within the discount healthcare industry. CHA has full-time retained counsel well versed in all existing and pending state laws. In addition to monitoring the regulatory environment, CHA has retained lobbyists for states where needed.
