New Benefits came to life in 1990 when CEO & Founder, Joel Ray, recognized a market shift in the wholesale optical laboratory industry and saw the opportunity to create a national network of discount optical providers operating under one brand name: Coast to Coast Vision.

Over the next 25+ years New Benefits continued to lead the industry by offering new and innovative products. We were the first to promote Teladoc and LifeLock, the first to offer multiple benefits on one membership card, and the first to provide on demand, variable data, digital color processing. At every step, we’ve set the pace for the rest of the non-insured benefits industry.

Today, New Benefits offers a rich selection of non-insured benefit solutions— including proprietary programs such as Coast to Coast Vision, UHS Chiropractic, and ID Sanctuary. We are also licensed, registered, certified, and/or bonded as a Discount Plan Organization (DPO) in 35 states.


New Benefits is a privately held company headquartered in Dallas, TX servicing associations, insurance companies, banks, credit unions, brokerage/consulting firms, insurance agencies, TPAs, and employer groups throughout the United States. Our services include aggregating over 30 medical and lifestyle products, print services, compliance, marketer training, administration and managing a bilingual customer service center.


This program is NOT insurance coverage, not intended to replace insurance, and does not meet the minimum creditable coverage requirements under the Affordable Care Act or Massachusetts M.G.L. c. 111M and 956 CRM 5.00. It contains a 30-day cancellation period, provides discounts only at the offices of contracted health care providers, and each member is obligated to pay the discounted medical charges in full at the point of service.
